Generative AI as we know it is founded on large language models (LLMs). LLM-based tools like ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude generate text by calculating the probability of each word following the last one.
They are great at drafting readable sentences, but they share a fundamental structural weakness: they lack a framework for understanding human choices. So, they cannot truly know why a phrase convinces one reader while causing another to hesitate.

To fix this, Write Arm has adopted a very different type of AI technology. It’s called SDCI (Synthetic Deterministic Cognitive Intelligence) and it writes based on human behavioural models, rather than probability. Because it understands the conscious and unconscious triggers that prompt us to act, its conversion performance across multiple channels averages 76% above industry standards.
In his latest article for LinkedIn, our founder, John Ashton, explains what this all means for our agency services and our forthcoming AI copywriting platform WriteArm.ai.
